Getting Started with Hailo

  • Minimum phone requirements

Access the Driver app quick guide here. For iPhone users we recommend an iPhone 5 or higher running iOS9x. It is not advised to use iPhone 4/4s and iOS7. Although the app will still run, you may experience some issues. For Android users there are many varieties of devices. We recommend a phone with a decent screen size (4.7” or more) and can run Jelly Bean OS or higher (v4.3 of Android). Samsung S series are very popular devices but can be expensive if you're looking for something with a smaller price tag then we’d recommend the Moto G 2014 or 2015 models. It is possible to run Hailo Driver on Android and Apple iOS tablets, but we do not recommend it. Should we start officially supporting more types of devices we will let you know. Data Plan With Hailo you will be required to call your passengers and send & receive data through the app. We recommend that you choose a phone plan that gives you a minimum of 200 minutes call time per month and at least 2GB of data per month. With most mobile phone networks you can negotiate really cost effective deals for calls and data on a pay monthly contract.
